Getting started

Use the Android booking preview

Try DiaryCare booking tasks on Android with safe demonstration records.

For: Android preview testers

Before you start

  • The DiaryCare Android preview installed by your test coordinator.

Know what the preview is

The Android preview is a demonstration app for testing DiaryCare booking screens. It uses made-up clinic, patient, and appointment records. It is not connected to your live DiaryCare clinic.

Good to know: Do not enter real patient names, contact details, or clinical information. Changes stay in the preview and can be lost when the app restarts.

Open the preview

  1. Open DiaryCare Clinician on the Android device.
  2. The preview may take you straight to Today. If the demonstration sign-in screen appears, select Continue securely.
  3. Check that the development banner and demonstration clinic name are visible before testing a booking task.
Good to know: The preview identity is not your DiaryCare account. Production sign-in is not connected in this preview release.

Move around the app

  • Today shows demonstration totals, approval requests, and appointments for the current day.
  • Calendar provides day and week views of demonstration appointments and private busy blocks.
  • New starts a demonstration booking or reschedule.
  • Bookings lets you search demonstration records, filter by status, and open appointment actions.
  • Select the profile circle to open Settings, view the build and device details, or sign out of the demonstration session.
Good to know: On a larger or unfolded screen, the navigation moves to a rail and some lists open details beside them. Your current preview work stays in place when the window changes size.

Understand the limits

  • The preview does not read or change your live clinic diary.
  • It does not connect to Google Calendar or send email or SMS messages.
  • Signing out only ends the local demonstration session; it does not sign your real DiaryCare account out.
  • The distributable preview blocks screenshots and screen recording. Local development builds may allow them for testing.
  • Use the live DiaryCare website for real clinic work.
